Use of this material makes the child familiar with 2 dimensional geometric shapes and teaches their names. This activity prepares the child for geometry.
Presentations
- Take the presentation tray to a rug.
- Pick any shape with left hand
- Hold the shape exposing the back side and run index and middle fingers clockwise and say 'I stop where I start'. You don't say this with the circle.
- Allow child to trace the shape.
