This activity teaches the child the names of the numbers 11-19.
Presentation
- After teaching up to 10 let the child take one more item which is similar to those tens. Then, in place of 0 let them put 1. It becomes 11.
- If ones child understands it, do twelve by taking two items in one set and 10 items another set. Start counting second set up to 10.
- Then in place of zero have the child put the number 2. It becomes 12.
- Go on with 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.
